This project went to Bozeman at the beginning of the year. It had some of the biggest timbers that I have ever seen in my life. The biggest of them all was 10" x 26" x 22', not to mention free of heart. As always, all of the joinery and assembly was overseen by Kevin Burdette of Whittlin TImbers and Wes Plettenberg of Plettenberg Custom Iron Works and Construction.
For the past month, I have been fortunate enough to work on a full frame 20x24 car port in Florence, Montana. Complete with pine tongue and groove ceiling, and a large bell that has been part of their family for generations, it turned out completely awesome. Being my first raising since I moved out here, I couldn't be happier to be involved in the process of watching everything coming together. Enjoy
