How It All Came To BeMy name is Brody Manko, I am a thirty two year old timber framer and log builder who hails from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have attended both the Pat Wolfe School of Log Building and The Island School of Building Arts. In 2015, I uprooted myself from Pittsburgh, and moved west to secure a Timber Framing career in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana. Lone Pine Log and Timber Works is my way of bringing to you my handcrafted log and timber creations.

Schooling |
My passion for the craft began during my attendance of The Pat Wolfe Log Home Building School in Lanark, Ontario in 2012. After I finished my schooling there, I quickly realized that the industry was one that required another special set of skills. This led me to attend the Island School Of Building Arts on Gabriola Island in Brittish Columbia in 2015. Through these two courses, I was able to learn traditional methods and practices that have been used by the trades craftsman for years.

Recent Projects |
Over the past several years, I have had the honor of building many small benches, tables, book shelves, bars, and wooden items for friends and family. In 2013, I spent my summer teamed up with James Hawkins of Harvest Creations in Hilton, New York. Together we worked on a ten wall full scribe log home, complete with a log garage and three full log trusses. In January of 2014, I was able to complete a log and timber hybrid platform for spectators at The Wheel Mill Bike Park. In the summer of 2019, I was contacted to help build a small pavilion for the circle 13 skate park in Hamilton, Montana. Most recently, I have found myself surrounded by some of the Bitterroot Valleys most skilled TImber Framers at Montana Timber Tech.
